Our Impact

We are delighted to support a number of exceptionally deserving causes, who have made an enduring and tangible difference within the rugby community.

Our Success

The Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation was founded in 2012 with the sole aim of giving back to a remarkable community. We quickly realised that our speciality lay in creating and developing events that people wanted to attend, with the joint benefit of raising significant funds for deserving causes.

We now collaborate with charities, not for profits and individuals who align with our vision & mission. Our preference remains to support smaller organisations that can substantively benefit from our grant funding.

Wasps FC Grant

Wasps FC

The Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation are delighted to have raised £9,000 for Wasps FC, which will be used to provide support to those who are unable to play rugby due to financial hardship. In line with our vision of changing lives through the spirit of Rugby, we truly believe that everyone deserves to enjoy the benefits of our game, and with the help of Wasps FC we have been able to make that a reality for as many people as possible. Richard Green Wasps FC Chairman added “Every penny or pound that the Legends so generously donate helps put another young player in boots at the club, and so often it's a player that might not have been able to do so without their support”. This support was made available because of our Wasps Women’s Founders Dinner, where we celebrated remarkable individuals who have used their skills and values to break boundaries on and beyond the pitch. We welcomed over 80 guests at 28°-50° by Night, hosted by the fantastic Danielle “Nolli” Waterman! This grant is part of our continued commitment in supporting Wasps FC and the hugely impressive work they do for amateur rugby in West London. This is further shown in our collaboration at the back end of 2023, when we provided a £4,000 grant to support their partnership with the mental health charity, Brave Mind, which provides educational training, and raises awareness for mental health amongst all players, parents, officials, volunteers, and club members. The programme is currently ongoing and Richard Green Wasps FC Chairman added “We provide sport to all we can reach. The added funding for our work with Brave Minds adds valuable resource to areas that might be less visible but so important to our community”. On the 16th May, we will be inducting a Wasps FC player who has come through every age group at Wasps FC and is still playing, into the Wasps Legends Hall of Fame for the first time, where they will join the pantheon of Wasps greats. This unmissable event is open to the entire Wasps community, giving fans the opportunity to engage with current & former players, as well as other like-minded individuals. You can secure your tickets now by clicking here We look forward to continuing our support of Wasps FC https://www.waspsfc.co.uk and working closely together to benefit the Wasps and wider Rugby community over the coming months and years.

Who we've supported

Cardiff Community Foundation

The Cardiff Rugby Community Foundation use the power and values of sport to inspire, engage and improve opportunities for all people within our community.

Serge Betsen Academy

The Serge Betsen Academy aims to raise funds for the relief of child poverty, sickness and distress in Cameroon by providing children’s centres education, healthcare and sports facilities. The organisation’s mission is to bring children together to see a future outside the poverty by providing access to simple, but critical, things like books, pre-school, health foods and places to play rugby and exercise.

Action for A-T

Action for A-T aim to speed up the process of identifying a cure for Ataxia Telangiectasia or treatments that delay or prevent the disabling effects of this devastating childhood condition. They do this by seeking and funding high quality peer-reviewed medical research both in the UK and around the world.

The Dallaglio Foundation

Former England Rugby Captain and 2003 World Cup Winner Lawrence Dallaglio set up his foundation in 2009 with the core objective of supporting disengaged young people into sustained employment, further education or training through the power of rugby.
