Wasps Legends donate £2,500 to It’s a Penalty.
Donation will support research into extraterritorial provisions for child protection legislations within the Commonwealth.
Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation, the past players network of Wasps, men and women, amateur and professional announced today that they have issued a small grant award of £2,500 to It’s a Penalty.
It’s a Penalty is a global movement to prevent the abuse, exploitation and trafficking of children worldwide. Working in accordance with the UN Convention on the Rights of Child, It’s a Penalty advocates that ‘protection from any exploitation, abuse and violence is the right of every child’,
The £2,500 funding will be used to produce a Mapping Report, which will identify, assess and evaluate the extent of extraterritorial provisions in child protection legislation amongst member states of the Commonwealth.

Child abuse, exploitation and trafficking are increasingly global human rights issues facilitated both online and offline – the existence of extraterritorial legislation at a national level is key to ensuring the protection of children from these heinous crimes on a worldwide scale. We are so glad that WLCF have become a part of our endeavour to eradicate these forms of violence against children..”
