Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation support a range of programmes that endorse positive physical, social and mental wellbeing. One such initiative is to support a mental health programme for the Wasps' rugby community, in collaboration with Wasps FC and Brave Mind.

This entails choosing sixteen Wasps FC representatives from the Women’s & Men’s Senior teams, as well as the Mini and Youth sections, together with key club members. The Braveminds program is delivered in two modules, Mental Health training and ‘coach the coach’ training.

Those trained will be comfortable with discussing potentially sensitive topics and can follow guidelines on how to signpost people to access further Mental Health support.

To help fund this initiative, a charity cycle ride was held on Saturday 1st July with Wasps and Reptiles Cycle Clubs covering a total distance of 3,000km around the Cotswolds. We would like to thank Cirencester RFC for their facilities, provision, and support for the 30 cyclists that took part in the ride. Huge thanks to Anna Skolasinska-Barnett for organising the Cirencester side and thanks to Uley Brewery and Martin Brooks for their generous beer donation.

Through our social media channels, people were encouraged to donate to raise £2,500. We are delighted to have exceeded our target, raising £3,381 and the gift aid inclusive total is £4,226. The money will enable us to launch the mental health support programme for the Wasps' rugby community.

Sincere thanks to all who donated, rode, and supported the appeal.
