Action for A-T - 2017 Progress Report
In July 2017, the Wasps Legends Charitable Foundation made a generous contribution of £2,500 towards the IMAGIN A-T Study at the Nottingham University Hospital. This gift will be allocated accordingly when the first payment towards the study is made.

Because A-T is very rare, it attracts little in the way of government funding and as a consequence, is dependent on grass-roots donations to push research forwards. Your generous support in 2017 has enabled Dr Bhatt and his team to embark on an exciting new project to measure lung health in A-T patients and further details of the progress made to date is provided in the enclosed report.

Investing in projects such as this would simply not be possible without the generous support of organisations such as yours and on behalf of the entire team at Action for A-T and the children like Evie (pictured opposite) who look to us for hope, we thank you for the generous support.

We are also delighted that you have decided to support this project with a large grant in 2018. I will send through further progress reports each year until the project comes to a conclusion in 3 years’ time.

Thank you so much for your ongoing and incredibly generous support. It is very much appreciated by everyone at Action for A-T and the families who look to us for hope as it enables us to continue our investment in ground breaking research into Ataxia Telangiectasia.

The whole of the Wasps legends squad epitomised everything rugby stands for - community spirit, great banter, competition on the pitch and the making of some lasting friendships.
