The Phelan McDermid Syndrome Foundation UK (PMSF UK) was awarded a WLCF Samll Grant in December 2015, after Wasps Legends Mark Rogers nominated them.

The grant will be used to fund regional family days in Spring 2016, which brings families from across the UK together so they can spend time together, share experiences and practical information.

Phelan-McDermid Syndrome (PMS) is caused by a deletion of chromosome 22. PMS affects cognitive developmental, speech and mobility and people will PMS will require additional care throughout their lives. There are just over 130 people who are diagnosed with PMS in the UK and Ireland, and approximately 1,500 worldwide.
