2014-2015 - School of Hard Knocks
The School of Hard Knocks was nominated as our 2014 Charity by Wasps Legends Jonny Barratt and Jason Turner.

The School of Hard Knocks (SoHK) is a social inclusion charity running courses that use sport to tackle the issues surrounding unemployment, antisocial behavior, crime and health. They have an expert team of coaches and mentors, supported by a wide range of high profile individuals from within and outside sport.

Using their unique programme of challenging activities and values-based lessons they enable participants to take positive steps forward in their lives. SoHK teach responsibility, motivation, teamwork, respect and discipline, all of which allow individuals to take responsibility for their actions and context. The SoHK programs are delivered to young children, teenagers and adults.

In 2014, the Wasps Legends, via the Charitable Foundation raised £25,000 for the Schools Programme.

The partnership proved to be very popular with Legends and the School of Hard Knocks was chosen to continue as our chosen charity for 2015.

The partnership uses rugby and sport to help those who often find themselves on the wrong end of life. through no real fault of their own, to integrate better into society. The money raised over the two years is going towards funding a schools project, which will work with 60 x Year 9 school children across three different schools in East London.

In 2015, the Wasps Legends, via the Charitable Foundation raised £25,000 for the Schools Programme.

The whole of the Wasps legends squad epitomised everything rugby stands for - community spirit, great banter, competition on the pitch and the making of some lasting friendships.
